Basketball success in the Lancashire Cup

Priory’s Year 11 basketball team had their first match in four years on Wednesday evening when they played in the Lancashire Schools U16 basketball cup knockout. 

Despite a four year hiatus they quickly brushed off the cobwebs running out 48–35 winners against Tarleton High School with Sales scoring an incredible 35 points. 

Assistant Principal and PE Teacher, Mr Gee, said, "The whole team put in a fantastic performance with Collinson and Ogden standing out, and Waterhouse making his school debut." 

The team's next group match is against Walton Le Dale on Tuesday, 5 December followed by Hutton Grammar School, and finally St Michael's High School, Chorley.
