Mrs Elliott's cool reader's club - Ava

Here's what our Cool Readers Club is all about...

These are our reading stars put forward by their English teacher.  We interview them about their current book, what they like reading about and what they like to do when they’re not reading.  Introducing Ava...

Ava is currently reading ‘The Sad Ghost Club’ by Lize Meddings.

“I am enjoying it,” said Ava. “It’s about ghosts – one sad ghost who overthinks everything and doesn’t want to go out and forms a Sad Ghost Club for people who don’t think they belong.

“It’s interesting. My favourite author is JK Rowling. I have read all the Harry Potter books and watched the films. I like fantasy and adventure books as it takes you away for a while.”

Ava’s favourite subjects are English and Religious Education.  In her spare time, Ava can be found dancing.

“I attend ‘Rhythm’ at Penwortham Community Centre every Wednesday and Sunday.  We do ballet and tap, all kinds of dancing. It’s just a hobby.

“In the future, I think I would like a job that helps people, especially children.”
