Over the past two weeks, four of our Senior Prefects have been selling poppies to pupils and staff.

Umar, AJ, Abbie and Jane called into Learning for Life lessons with the poppies and collection box, and all amounts raised will go to the Royal British Legion

Via social media, the Royal British Legion said, "Thank you so much to everybody for all your amazing hard work supporting our Armed Forces community."

Alongside this, on Thursday 31 October, Richard Yates came into Priory to finalise plans and to talk about our role in the community's Remembrance service.

Richard, who is one of the 'Friends of Penwortham War Memorial' volunteers, met with Head of Year 11 Mrs Bullock and the three Head Prefects who will be involved in the Liverpool Road service.

On Sunday, 10 November, Navah, Oliver and Chittara will lay a wreath on behalf of the school and read names of Penwortham's WW1 fallen.

The service, commencing with a parade from St Leonards, will  remember the sacrifice of servicemen and women in both the World Wars and other conflicts.
