GCSE Results Day – Class of 2025
5 June 2025
Arrangements for GCSE Results Day
Results Day will take place on Thursday, 21 August, and Class of 2025 are invited to collect their results between 11am and 12 noon from school. Students should go to the main dining room, although if the weather is pleasant, we’ll be distributing results outside the main reception.
A small number of students will be invited to take part in our publicity on the day. These students should arrive promptly at 11:00am and see Mrs Yates to collect their results envelopes.
If a student is unable to attend in person or will be away on holiday, they must speak to Miss Conway, Exams Officer, before they leave or email her at g.conway@priory.lancs.sch.uk before the end of the summer term to make alternative arrangements. Please note that written permission is required if someone else is collecting results on a student’s behalf.
Any results not collected by 12 noon will be posted second class later that day. Please also note that school will close at 12.30pm on Results Day.
Re-marks and Re-sits
As always, we want to do everything we can to support our pupils to progress to the next stage of their education, training or employment. Any pupil who is unhappy with their results, should in the first instance contact Mr Gee, Assistant Principal, via email n.gee@priory.lancs.sch.uk. He will be able to discuss concerns and advise on any next steps. Pupils may also want to talk to the sixth form or college they plan to go on to as they may well be flexible about their entry requirements.
GCSE Certificates
Certificates from the awarding bodies are expected to arrive in school early November and we will contact parents about this near the time. It is important that we emphasise how essential it is that the exam certificates are collected and then kept in a secure place, as they are very important documents which will be needed throughout the future and can be costly to replace.
It is worth noting that schools are only legally obliged to keep certificates for a 12 month period, after which time they are disposed of. If copies of certificates are needed after that time, students will need to contact the appropriate awarding bodies directly and pay costs to obtain copies.
We wish all of our Year 11 students the very best of luck and hope they leave Priory with the results they’ve worked so hard for—and with lasting memories of their time here.
