Kind-hearted Year 7 Lily had an amazing 11 inches cut off her hair inspired by her primary school friend.
Lily’s close friend was diagnosed with a brain tumour and is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
She will lose her hair and this made Lily think about what she could do to help.
“I had long hair, it was all the way down my back, and so I decided to have mine cut and raise funds for ‘Giving Hair and Hope to children with cancer.’
“I raised £520 and gave my hair to the Little Princess Trust so they can use it to make wigs.
“I am proud I have done it although I am not sure if I like it shorter – I did it for a good reason though. I am going to grow it and do it again.”
