Happy retirement Ms Clementson
16 July 2021
Today was Pastoral Manager Ms Clementson's last day as she begins her retirement. This lady has not only supported our pupils through some difficult, challenging and distressing times, but has been there for Priory staff too and made a difference to so many of us.
Ms Clementson is also the Designated Safeguarding Lead and has been a big part of Priory, having started at the school in 2007.
“I have enjoyed my time at Priory but feel like it is now the right time to retire,” said Ms Clementson
“The school has transformed since I have been here, it’s unrecognisable from when I started in 2007. The lay-out of the school has changed and my job role has changed.
“The Safeguarding Lead is an important role as my job is to make sure everyone is safe and it’s challenging but rewarding.
Ms Clementson has been part of Preston’s famous One Voice Choir and hopes to get back involved with them during her retirement. “I also enjoy walking my dog and I like crafts as well. I will miss everyone at Priory but I feel it’s now right to have some time for myself.”
Headteacher, Mr Eastham, said: "In her role as Pastoral Manager, Sarah has been a pivotal member of our pastoral team over her time with us. Her wealth of talent and experience in her work means she is never without a strategy or an approach that tailors her intervention to each pupil’s specific needs. Her dedication and commitment to her work has been invaluable to the school over the years and she has always been an enthusiastic and very hard working individual, performing her duties with a great deal of professionalism and dedication. Being very much a team player, she has always worked well with others and her personality has helped build good relationships with those that she comes into contact with. An essential aspect of her role.
Mr Eastham went on to say, "She has been a much valued member of staff who we value very highly, and although we will be sorry to see her leave, we wish her all the very best for a long, happy and healthy retirement – she deserves it!
