A huge well done to Millie D who competed in the English Gymnastics Championships on Saturday.
The Year 7 pupil travelled down to New College, Leicester, where she dazzled the judges in the beam, floor, bar and vault to gain a Bronze overall in the Jim Moss Women's Artistic Championships.
The English Gymnastics Gold, Silver and Bronze Championships has been running since 2013. Now in its 9th year, the event hosts gymnasts from all over the country to offer a level of National Gymnastics just below the main English Senior Championships.
Mum said, "This is the first time Millie has competed at the English Championships. She was up against 40 gymnasts from 16 clubs in the bronze intermediate category and placed bronze overall. We are thrilled for her."
PE teacher, Mrs Bullock added, "Millie is unbelievable! It is amazing to see that she medalled - she certainly deserved it".
