Year 7 pupil on target for football success

Year 7 Alegria has already had quite a football career as he looks to make it big in the football world.

Centre-back Alegria is the captain of Priory’s successful Year 7 team who won the South Ribble Schools Sport Premier League after they won all their matches last term.

He is also signed up to Championship side Blackpool FC’s Academy.

Alegria said: “I used to live in London and was at Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal’s Academy.

“We moved to Preston and I was at Liverpool until Under 9 level but was released.

“I then had a trial with Blackpool and have been there since Under 10s – I am now Under 12s.

“It is nerve-racking each year waiting to see if you have a new contract but I want to be a professional footballer.

“I have enjoyed being Priory’s captain, telling people what to do! We have had a good season so far. I have scored a few goals.”
