The Year 7 girls’ football team put in an outstanding performance on Monday 27th April in their match against Leyland St Mary’s, securing a convincing 12- 0 victory and booking their place in the South Ribble Cup semi‑final.

The girls were clinical in front of goal, with Laura leading the scoring with an impressive five goals, closely followed by Belle, who added four more. Further goals from Sophie, Isla W and Reeva completed an excellent team performance.

Beyond the goals, the team played some fantastic football. They worked brilliantly together to create space, move the ball quickly, and pass confidently between one another, demonstrating great teamwork and understanding across the pitch.

Credit must also go to Leyland St Mary’s, who showed real determination and sportsmanship, never giving up and continuing to work hard right until the final whistle.

This result means the Year 7 girls now progress to the South Ribble Cup semi‑final, which will be played in the coming weeks. A fantastic achievement and a performance to be proud of. Well done to all involved!
