Adaptations were made so Sports Day 2021 could go ahead this year and what a day was had by all!

Pupils had already completed the throwing events prior to the day, so the focus was firmly on the track. Due to restrictions, pupils were sat in classes within their year group bubble, but the support for the four houses was excellent.

Last minute entries and multi-discipline competitors ensured that there was a full track programme with even a Year 10 and Teachers 4 x 100m relay to finish the day.

‘The pupils were outstanding on the day. After such a challenging year this offered an opportunity to celebrate and enjoy the company and support of their peers and staff. There were so many fantastic performances with school records broken and individual personal best times achieved. It was a fantastic atmosphere.  Thank you to all on the day for their efforts, whether that was joining in the races or being so vocal in their support for their friends/houses.’

The Winner:  Douglas pipped Ribble to the final score!  Well done to Mrs Bullock's house!

We would also like to say farewell to Mrs Tompson who leaves us after covering Mrs Bullock's maternity leave. What a day to end her term!  We hope to see her return to Priory as she remains on the school's supply list.
