Well done Mr Owen

Last Sunday (13th), Mr Owen ran his first ever half marathon and managed to raise a fantastic sum for charity in doing so.

Mr Owen managed to complete the West Coast Half Marathon in 1:48:49, a superb time for the English teacher who only took to pounding the pavements earlier this year.

Alongside Freckleton & Warton Running Club, Mr Owen was running to support a fundraising effort linked to helping a local family raise the finances required to transform their home so that it is fit to house their ill son whose lives were sadly torn apart when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Dan has been in hospital for two years.

He calculates that between himself, friends, colleagues and family, the team raised over £500 for the Get Dan Home campaign.
